We create high quality performances and arts projects for residents of Northumberland and beyond.

Why shouldn’t audiences in small rural areas get the chance to experience great theatre? That was the premise that led to us developing Beyond the End of The Road during 2016/2017. We worked in rural local communities in Northumberland and County Durham (in 2018) to create a show that shared what life is really like in rural areas. To paraphrase one of our audience members, we brought London’s West End to community venues around the North East, only we did it by taking ten musicians and actors with us, quite some feat! In 2018 we won a national award for the project. Not bad for a small organisation based in Morpeth!

We have some wonderful tales to tell about Northumbrian places and folk. All of our work is original and stems from the places in which we perform. We work with new and established playwrights - such as with Food and Feuds - or - as in The Unlocked Door - we collaborate with our performers to develop our pieces. We have a story to tell about our heritage, but some of our themes are universal and will resonate with audiences outside of Northumberland.
