Walk in Your Shoes: Bamburgh to Budle Bay

Join us for a beautiful coastal walk from Bamburgh to Budle Bay and back again.

This walk starts and ends close to the Bamburgh Cricket Pavilion and will be approximately 6 miles. The What3Words location is ///scripted.fabric.proven.

We will be walking the Northumberland Coast Path to Kiln Point on Budle Bay. We will stop for refreshments (don’t forget to bring your own) and return along the same path.

If the weather is with us, we will take a detour onto the beach near the Landing Stage and will walk back to Bamburgh Castle along the beach from Harkness Rocks.

The walk is a mix of walking the coastal path and country roads.

Refreshments

Please bring your own refreshments, including plenty of water in case the weather is warm. We will end by having a drink in the beer garden of the The Lord Crewe, please feel free to join us.

It is likely that the Bamburgh shops will be shut by the end of the walk, so do pick up an ice-cream before you join us on the walk.

Accessibility

This walk is not suitable for wheelchair users or child buggies.

There is no age limit for this walk. The walk will be suitable for children.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us on this walk, although they are likely to need to be kept on a lead for most of it.

High tide is scheduled for 1pm. We have chosen to start the walk at 2pm so that we have safe access to the beaches along the way.
