Curious Arts is a Newcastle Gateshead based not-for-profit organisation developing LGBTQIA+ arts, artists and audiences across the North East of England.  Their work celebrates and explores Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Culture through the arts.

This summer, Curious Arts have taken their annual LGBTQIA+ youth project (14 - 25yrs) Queer Creative Challenge online, releasing fortnightly creative challenges to create a point of connection for isolated community members and an opportunity to be creative/explore new skills.

November Club are delighted to have collaborated with Curious Arts on a challenge created by Northumberland based Artist, Writer and Theatre Maker Peter Groom, which invites people to share the things they have lost and found during lockdown through creative writing.

Captions are available on the video, and the written instructions can be downloaded here: https://bit.ly/PGroomInstructions

We’re asking those who complete the challenge to email their responses to [email protected] by Wednesday 26 August.  They’ll be shared with award-winning songwriter/composer Katie Doherty to inspire her creation of an original song for our upcoming production Lost Found & Told: New Audio Tales for Northumberland.

The collection of new fairtyales will be narrated by a professional cast of actors and available as an audio download at the end of October.  To keep up to date with how this exciting project is developing you can subscribe to our mailing list below, or follow us on social media.

We look forward to seeing your responses to Peter’s challenge, and if you enjoyed then check out the challenges created by Lady Kitt, Kay Greyson and Northern Stage Young Company on the Curious Arts website.

**Please note the deadline for this has now passed**
