Board of Trustees Application Process

As a Trustee you will help to guide and shape us, recognising where we are now and helping us be ambitious for the future.

The role of a Trustee is to govern and support the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives. These are to:

  1. Create outstanding original work in non-traditional spaces, collaborating with a diverse range of creative voices and technical talent.
  2. Engage meaningfully with our communities to improve our work, to grow talent and to change the sense of what can be achieved artistically in Northumberland.
  3. Govern and manage the organisation and its resources efficiently and ethically (in line with Charity Commission/Companies House regulations and guidance).

You do not require previous experience of sitting on a board to join us as a Trustee at November Club.

November Club is run by Artistic Director and CEO Joe Hufton, who was appointed by the trustees in October 2020. Joe is a theatre director with over 10 years' experience of making exciting and award-winning work in unconventional spaces.

Potential candidates will be invited to a meeting on Friday 29th April 2022 (evening) with representatives of the Board of Trustees and Company (location to be confirmed).

2022 Board Meeting Dates

16th May, 22nd August and 21st November. Meetings are held in Morpeth or Newcastle. We also retain the ability to meet digitally and hold hybrid meetings.

November Club is a revenue client of Arts Council England (National Portfolio Organisation 2018 – 2023) and in receipt of a yearly grant from Northumberland County Council.
