Experience a new collection of local stories inspired by traditional fairytales.

We invite families across Northumberland to join us for an exclusive showcase of our brand new production A Night of New Fairytales for Northumberland. Sit back and experience the magic of our county, its people and challenges brought to life through puppetry and performance, music and wonder.

Inspired by traditional fairytales hear three new stories drawing on the rich heritage, landscape and tradition of Northumberland.

These performances will appeal to adults and children alike. Age recommendation 8+.

£5 adult / £4 child / £15 family ticket (2 adults and 2 children under 12 years).

Friday 18 October, Buffalo Community Centre Blyth.
Saturday 19 October, Tarset Village Hall, Lanehead

After the show, we invite you to help us shape these tales and contribute to our final collection that we will perform across the county in 2020. Help us create a happy ever after!

The development of a Night of New Fairytales for Northumberland is led by November Club's Artistic Director, Cinzia Hardy, working with Artist, Hannah Fox and Associate Writer, Fiona Ellis. During the development phase, we've taken ideas from a range of local individuals and been working with actors, musicians, traditional dancers and puppeteers to develop the fairytales. Thanks also to Tarset Village Hall committee for all their support, to the families of Blyth and Amble who we worked with over the summer to develop these three tales and all the individuals who gave their time in the Spring 2019 to discuss their thoughts about Northumberland.
