Participate

Participation has always been central to the way November Club works; we work with local people and places to create projects and stories specific to that location. Our productions develop over time, with local residents, communities, local groups, schools and artists all contributing in different ways.

Here are several ways you can take part in what we do.

Get involved in a production

Get involved in a production

Our productions are centred on local people, their stories and contribution.

Involvement in a project might include sharing your stories, memories, thoughts, hopes and dreams with us. It might include contributing in a creative capacity, for example as a community cast member, as a writing contributor, or any number of other roles that the project may require.

Previous participants have found working with us an inspiring and fulfilling experience.

We are often looking for volunteers to help with an individual production or to support the company in our Morpeth office. Becoming a performing art volunteer with November Club could help you learn new skills, gain useful experience in the arts and meet new people and we hope to be inspiring, creative and fun people to work alongside!

Our art volunteering opportunities are open to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Volunteering with November Club can improve your confidence, boost your skills or simply provide a fun and new experience.

Perform with us

Perform with us

Often, our productions are made in collaboration with both the communities we work with and with professional artists. Our final performances and productions are rarely traditional theatre, so we like to work with artists who fully embrace our collaborative and participation based approach to our productions. Professional artists who work with November Club should be prepared to work in unusual spaces, inside or outside.

During the early phases of a project we tend to start looking for professional performers who might fit the production, and will contact artists on our artist mailing list.

If you are a professional artist interested in working with November Club and would like to be considered when we are planning and researching new work, please e-mail your CV to This email address is being protected from spambots. Come see a show

Come see a show

November Club rarely miss an opportunity of asking people to contribute in some way or another to final performances or exhibitions. You may be asked to follow a trail, solve a clue, add your story to a map, share a hope for the future or your ideas on a certain topic or issue. Whether it's through talking, reading, writing or listening, we are always keen to gather your ideas, thoughts and wishes; they all help shape our explorations of people and place. Come and see one of our shows - and join us in our adventures!

‘This made me see my home town with new eyes and I thought … we really ought to celebrate it and be so grateful that we live in this amazing place.’
