Rural Touring Awards - nominations now open

The Rural Touring Awards are back! And this year we hope to drum up enough support to nominate Beyond the End of the Road for Music Performance of the Year.

The Rural Touring Awards celebrate excellence across the country and you have until 26th April to nominate. If you saw Beyond the End of the Road last year as we toured across Northumberland then we would appreciate your vote in the Music Performance of the Year category. www.ruraltouring.org/work/rural-touring-awards

The winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted by Ian Macmillan on 27th June. Thank you for all your support.

In all categories they're looking for examples of excellence. What made a show really stand out? They'd like to highlight how creative, innovative and diverse the world of rural touring is. So think about productions that have done something new. Share moments that were game-changing for you.

“Brilliant! We need much more quality performances in the smaller villages. Thank you for including us”. Participant at Felton.

“I felt a sense of community for the wider community, the Northumberland community. Because I went to Kirknewton, it’s not a local place for me either, neither is Holy Island really, but I think the whole thing was just so well done and it fitted wherever it went. It makes it more local for local people to avoid the travelling, and the village halls should be kept alive anyway, we feel. I think it’s very nice that something has come from, I know it’s only Morpeth, but it has come to us and we normally have to travel to everything.” Audience member.
